Russian Imperial Badge on GUARDS GROUP of the HONOURABLE ESCorT, Alexander II
Is approved on April, 29th, 1878 for officers and the bottom grades of an escort of Emperor Alexander II in Turkish war 1877-1878. Rushed on the left party of a breast. The badge represents a silver wreath from the oak and laurel branches which have been tied up below by a tape.
In a wreath Alexander’s silver monogram under a silver imperial crown. Exclusively rare. Size is 37,7 x 28 mm. Weight is 19,76 g. Silver, gilded, for officers.
