Gold,straight, symmetrical cross with gold polished raised borders beneath the gold Imperial crown. In the centre of the cross is a circular shield with 14 raised rivets on the edge. In the centre of the shield is the head of a young lion holding in its jaws an ancient gun and surrounded by the raised dates «1683», «1796», «1816» and «1909». On the rays of the cross are set the gold cyphers of the Emperors Peter I, Paul I, Alexander I and Nicholas II.
