Russian Imperial badge of 108th Saratov Infantry Regiment
Up for auction is a rare Russian Imperial Badge of the 108th Saratov Infantry Regiment
Silver wreath of laurel and oak branches bound in a ribbon tied in a bow with the dates “1797” and “1897” marked in black enamel. Inside the wreath is a gold cross in the St. George form, its rays covered in apple-green enamel and the central medallion in white. On the lateral and lower rays of the cross are the gold numbers “13”, “12” and “108”. On the upper ray is the silver cypher of the Emperor Paul I, and in the centre of the cross is the gold cypher of the Emperor Nicholas II. Silver, gilded, enamelled. Size is 58 x 38 mm, weight is 22,58 g.
For sale there is also owners photo of the badge. The badge was belonged to Evstegneev Vladimir.
