Extremely rare Jewish WW2 GHETTO DAVID star patch with letter J worn in Belgium
For your viewing is a rare WWII Jewish Ghetto star patch. Letter J means JEWS.
There were several different types of stars, sometimes hand made. These stars with letter J must be wearing
on all clothes by Jewish people in any GHETTOs in Belgium.
For sample I put the photo of Jewish family with the same star. During WW2 Jewish people on the occupied territory must wearing Yellow David Star with different inscription: in German with JUDE, in France with JUIF, in Holland with JOOD, in Yugoslavia with ZIDOV or letter Z.
This particular item passed very important test – it does not glow under the black lamp (all fabrics after 1945 glow under the black light) – please look at the image (for compare I put on the image which glow under a black lamp).
Also the piece have an old smell that old authentic cloth keeps.
More over the armband passed 2nd test – burned test (old fabric after burn become a proud, modern fabric become a resin).
Last year the Yellow David star sold on eBay for $612 – look at the image.
