Russian Imperial SILVER Badge of the 56th Zhitomir Infantry Regiment
Very RARE Russian IMPERIAL Gold cross in the Kulm style with raised gold borders. In the centre is a corrugated silver oxidized Sebastopol cross. Its central medallion is surrounded by a laurel wreath bound by a gold ribbon tied in a bow and covered with red enamel and bearing the gold number. On the lateral rays of the cross are the gold raised dates On the lower ray is the inscription and the number “100” marked in raised gold lettering and numbering on four lines.
XF condition! Silver, tested.
This particular badge has extremely rare variant: the cyphers of the Emperor Nickolas I and Nickolas II was changed and instead cypher of the Emperor Alexander III was installed cypher of the Emperor Alexander II.
